When I started my perimenopausal journey, (I didn't realize I had started it) and I didn’t know what I'm about to share.

 

Aches and pains started to appear.

My anxiety was high and I was caught in the spiral of doing more because I didn't know how to relax myself and my waist was expanding and I couldn't drop the weight. 

 

So I did what I was taught.

 

Worked out harder and ate less…

 

Which was actually causing my body MORE STRESS, More Pain, More Aches and when we are stressed our female bodies hold onto fat especially during perimenopause & beyond.

 

And therefore, my weight wasn’t budging, my nerves were still fired and my hips and knees still hurt and I was getting super frustrated.

 

I hit the books and began changing a few things.  

 

Instead of working out harder, I started to lie on my roller (who would have thought this could be so life changing!!)

 

This, unknowingly to me at the time, was reducing my stress hormone cortisol, and I began to feel more relaxed, moods were less erratic, my cravings lessened and my waist stopped spreading. And my aches and pains were feeling better.
